Britt Salem 

Photography 1, 2, & AP 

Ms. Salem has been teaching Photography at Paint Branch for the past 6 years. Prior to working with MCPS, she taught studio ceramics in New York City and Baltimore. 

Ms. Salem has a passion for documentary photography and tries to instill her interest in community, social issues, and identity in each of her lessons.

Emily 

Aumaitre

Digital Art 1 & 2, Foundations of Art & Culture

Ms. Aumaitre has been teaching for 36 years. For the first 20 years, she taught in New York City in both private and public schools. She has been with MCPS for the past 16 years, and the last 14, here at Paint Branch.

 

Ms. Aumaitre likes to bring out the creativity of her students by introducing them to a variety of materials and techniques that allows them express their individuality. Ms. Aumaitre is a craft and jewelry artist and teacher to both adults and children.

Jack Warner

Ceramics & Sculpture 1, 2, & 3

Mr. Warner has been teaching for 4 years with MCPS and this is his first year teaching at Paint Branch. However, he is not new to the school - he graduated from PB in 2005!

 

Mr. Warner aims to build a community of independent student artists who use ceramics and sculpture as a mode of expression and critical critique. Mr. Warner's personal work is mainly sculptural and explores many material and construction techniques.  

Robin Morris

Painting, Studio Art, & AP Drawing

Ms. Morris has been teaching art for 12 years and has been with Paint Branch for the past two. 

 

She aims to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable creating art that expresses personal messages and feelings.  In her personal studio practice, Ms. Morris paints, draws, and collages.
